We already knew that we have an amazing son for many reasons but this week we have added another reason! We had been half heartedly working on getting Gabe moved from the bassinet in our room to his crib in his own room. I had been trying to get him in there during the day for his naps and that was sort of but not really working all that well. Now in the last two nights he has slept the entire night in there and last night he did not cry at all just went to sleep! We were playing music for him and I think that bothered him. Because as soon as we turned it off he did much better sleeping. I am only having to get up around 3 or 4 to feed him after we put him down between 9:30 and 10:30. He is just doing so awesome! He is getting really big too. He is around 8 and a half pounds. I can tell carrying him that he is gaining a lot of weight. He goes in next week Wednesday for his first set of shots. I am hoping that it is not too traumatic on him or us. As far as the breastfeeding my milk production has decreased a lot in the last week or so. So I am still pumping milk for him but he is drinking strictly from the bottle. I think this is helping him sleep a lot more since he has a full tummy. We have also FINALLY found care for Gabe when I go back to work in a week and a half. I am feeling so much better about leaving him although I would rather be home with him if I could.
Other than news about Gabe Jason's grandfather passed away earlier this week so he will be traveling to San Marcos for his funeral early in the morning. Needless to say he is getting tired of funerals. This is his second one in two weeks. It is hard when you get older funerals get to be more and more common but I think we have been to more than our share in the last two years.
