I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We had a pretty low key holiday which was nice. We had what is going to be our annual Christmas Eve dinner with Alex and Rebecca and family. We had a Mexican theme this year! It was great to spend some time with them. Since I have started working at Starbucks the time that we get to spend with them has gotten very limited. On Christmas Day I worked at Starbucks in the morning. Cy, Misty and Ethan came over around 4:30pm and then Anna arrived with the girls at 9:30ish. So we quickly opened gifts and headed to bed!! Jason and I had to both work on Wednesday morning which was not fun. We were both thinking it would have been nice to have another day off. We have both said that we like traveling more over the holidays rather than staying home. So next year we are definitely heading to Wisconsin and a Packers game. That is the stipulation, that we get to go when there is a game. We are hoping for a game over the New Years weekend. Hopefully they will have snow next year like they have had this year. I sure do miss the snow and cold weather.
Gabe continues to be an awesome lil dude! He was not able to see the physical therapist because he and I were both sick. So he has been rescheduled for January 16th. He is not making anymore progress as far as walking although we all know that he can do it. We have the video proof!! This Christmas he really got the concept of opening presents. Franny helped him with the first one but after that he was good to go. He got a lot of really cute things. Books, clothes, toys etc.
There isn't anything else exciting that I can update on. We have added a link on the website for our debt snowball. This is what I have referred to in past posts about why I took the extra job at Starbucks, so that we could get ourselves out of debt. We are going to keep a running tab of what our overall debt is and keep it posted on here. We made the first payment over the weekend to Jason's credit card and wow what an amazing feeling. In two months it is going to paid off and we will have it no more. It is just something that neither of us ever saw happening. It is such a sense of having control over our money instead of the money having control over us. Please email us if you are interested in how and what we are doing. I know that it sounds cheesy but you can truly live debt free. We want Gabe to have that type of life and not have to hear his mom and dad arguing about money or know that we are stressing over making ends meet. What an awesome opportunity we are giving him!!
