Almost Thanksgiving

Once again I am really behind on updating this. I think it is just going to be the way it is that it will not get updated very often :-) Everything with us is going very well. Jason is in full training mode to run the Austin Marathon in February. This is the qualifying race for the Boston Marathon in April. This is something that has been a dream for Jason for a long time. I am so excited to see him fulfill that dream!! I have no doubt that he is going to do it.
Gabe is doing really well. He will be 16 months next week. He has 6 teeth and is saying a ton of words. He has even started yelling at Emma when she goes to far away from him. It is the cutest thing. He has not started walking yet which is causing us some concern. So we are going to have him evaluated today and see what might be going on. Developmentally in every other area he is doing amazing. I am hoping that they will give us some direction on things that we can do to encourage him to have the confidence that he can do it.
I am still looking for a teaching position. I have as of today taken on a part time job with Starbucks. I am super excited about it!! We have a goal of getting out of debt completely in 5 years and taking on this second job is going to get us to that goal. It is such a foreign concept to so many people that you don't have to live with debt. We are truly looking forward to that time.
The girls are coming tonight to spend Thanksgiving with us. We are all heading to Seguin on Thursday morning and then Tia and I will be out bright and early on Friday to get our shopping done. I absolutely love this time of year. And it is FINALLY going to get cold on Thursday. That is going to make it truly feel like the holidays are here. We are then going to go and get the Christmas tree on Saturday with the girls. All the Christmas decorations will be up by Saturday evening. Hopefully with gifts wrapped and underneath the tree as well. YEAH!!!
My parents are coming down to see us in a week and we are soooo excited about that. They are going to come and stay a week. The first night that they are here is the night of the Cowboys/Packers game. Jason and my dad have been talking trash for at least a month :-) Of course the Packers are going to win!!! GO PACK!! Then on Saturday the Beavers are playing the Civil War game so we will be watching that game as well. Jason did say that he would go with the Beavers on that game. It is going to be so much fun to get to watch football with my dad. That is something that I have not gotten to do since I was a little girl.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!! Gobble Gobble :-)
