Updates

We just got back a couple days ago from a really nice trip to Wisconsin. Gabe had his first trip to a zoo!! He loved the polar bear the best. He got to feed some very hungry goats too! We went to see great grandma for a day and spent some extra time with my aunt and uncle. We went shopping for house stuff, well flooring more specifically. We THINK that we have a plan again! We will see how it all goes. Gabe continues to talk a ton and just is such a happy baby. We found out the day before we left for Wisconsin that he had both ears infected. On antibiotics again. Fortunatly he was feeling better by the time we left on Saturday morning. He again did awesome on the plane. The flight from Dallas to Madison he slept on both going and coming back home. I was really surprised at how wekk he did. I am not sure why he is always such an amazing lil guy. Gabe also got to spend some extra time just he and his grandma for one evening. Jason and I got a much needed date night and got to take grandma's convertible!! It was so much fun :-)
Still no luck on a teaching position for me. I am still praying that God is going to provide for me. I am really struggling with how I can make my application better for next year so that I am not in this same situation. I also found out today that I only have this year or next to get a position in order to complete the program. So that puts a lil more stress but I really know that teaching is what I am to be doing. Just have to try and convince someone to hire me when I have no actual classroom experience. I really had no idea that it was going to be this tough.
I don't think that I posted that Jason had an interview in Grapevine two weeks ago or so. We were really worried about how everything would work out if he was offered the position and we would move. Prior to him getting a call or not we both decided that is what not the right choice for us right now. He has not as of today gotten an offer for the position. Which helps me know that we made the right choice. It would have been better for us financially but we have to many other things going for us in College Station to just leave for financial reasons. Even though that is a big reason!!
We are keeping a close eye on Hurricane Dean. We should know by Monday or Tuesday how bad we are going to get things in our area. They are already preparing cities and gas stations on the coast for what may be heading this way. We will be sure to keep everyone updated if we are in any path of what is coming.

Oh I did forget that Gabe learned while we were in Wisconsin to drink from a straw! It is so cute to watch.
