Summer is Here

So we are not getting any better about updating this more often. I guess that just shows how extremely busy we continue to be.
Gabe is doing awesome. He has two teeth and is crawling like crazy. He still says da da and ma ma but nothing more than that that we can actually understand. He is starting to pull himself up on the coffee table and chairs. He is still getting his haircut every 2 weeks as well.
I have another 5 weeks to go on my classes for my teaching certificate. It really has not been all that time consuming or difficult. I think all my experience already working with kids and then my degree have helped a lot. I also passed my TExES Content Exam!! I am so thrilled to have it done and then to have passed as well. I know that God was there with me because I had no anxiety and I actually felt excited to be taking the test!! Those of you who know me that tests and excitement just do not go together :-) It was very refreshing. Another message from God that I am doing exactly what it is that he has set out for me. YEAH!!! So I am in the process of getting a job for the fall. I have applied for Bryan ISD and am hoping to get a 2nd grade position although I will teach any grade to get me into the classroom for the fall. I really don't mind what school either. I truly want to be teaching in the fall so I am open for anything :-) I am so excited to get started. It all feels so right that sometimes I have to laugh about it. Oh and I am not sure how I forgot this but I have officially lost 41.5 pounds since having Gabe!! My goal is to have lost 50 by his first birthday which is at the end of July. Very doable I would say. Then after that it will be onto another 40 pounds by March!! I am in a good friend of mines wedding and that will put me at the weight that I was for our wedding. I am going to be looking good let me tell ya :-)

Jason is doing great and cruising along as usual. Still doing a ton at the church and running a bunch too. He has thought about doing seminary but we are just not sure if that is the path God is taking him down right now. We see it at some point just trying to wait for Gods word to tell us what is next for him. It is so exciting to wait and see the greatness that is going to continue come from Jason. He is just an awesome man and continues to grow and become even more awesome!! I am such a lucky woman to have him :-) Shhhhh don't tell him I said that :-)
