Been a while

Wow I had not realized that it had been so long since I had updated on here. I am not even sure what I have or haven't posted. Gabe is getting bigger of course. He is around 19 pounds and will be 8 months this week. He has no teeth and is just starting to sort of look like he may crawl. His personality is just getting cuter and cuter each day. We continue to get comments from people that he is around about how happy of a baby he is. Everyone just loves him!! He brings Jason and I so much joy. He is always doing something that we just have to laugh about. We are already starting to plan his first birthday party. Crazy I know! We just took some pictures of him in the blue bonnets and they turned out awesome. He is so photogenic. Hopefully we can get them printed and out to family and friends soon.
Jason is signed up to run two races in the next few months. One in Brenham and on in Corpus Christi. One is an 8k and the other is a marathon relay. So he is really excited about all of that. Both of us have been working out at Golds at least three days a week. It has been a lot of fun and we are both starting to see results. Which is always exciting!
The other big news is that I have decided to get my teaching certificate. I start classes on April 13th and those go 15 weeks and then after a state exam I can get a contract to begin teaching in the fall. I am SOOO excited. I finally feel as though I have found the path that I am suppossed to be on. It is such a great feeling. I want to teach either 1st or 2nd grade. There are several positions open in both school districts here. One opening is at the elemntary school right up the road from us. That would be exciting. If they don't build another school in the next four years it will be where Gabe will attend school. I can't wait to be able to spend the entire summer with him. It is just going to be awesome. I am hoping that I will get to go home to Oregon more often now with all that time off. I am going to drive Jason nuts with all the different directions that I am going to want to be going :-)
