The Journey from Rita Continues

I just got off the phone with Franny and Beth, they are in Brookshire. They havnt made it to far, but they are safe. They have stopped at a Jack in the Box for dinner. Billy the dog had an accident in the Saturn. I think she was car sick. When I was talking to Franny, she said she held her bladder for about two and half hours, which i think was longer. Its amazing what they are having to go through. I cant even imagine.
Its a bit scary here too. Because we are just waiting for something to happen.
Right now Susan is volunteering for the city. She is helping with the intake of evacuees that are coming from Alvin and that surrounding area. She is working from eight to midnight. I wish I could help too, but I am on call and need to be ready to leave. Im sure over the weekend, there is a good chance I will not be around the house. But that remains to be seen.
