8 weeks to go!

We had a wonderful weekend! I had my first shower in Seguin on Saturday. We got so many awesome gifts from everyone that was there. The decorations and food was really good. I got to see Sunni and Christy and so that was exciting. I had not seen them since the wedding! I am hoping to get pictures posted on the website in the next few weeks. Our camcorder decided that it was going to die the morning that I was leaving to head to the shower. So any pictures that we have are on Tia's camera. So we just have to wait until we can get them from her and then I will post them. We moved out more of Toria's stuff on Saturday evening once I got back to make room for everything that we had gotten. Jason put together the pull and play as well as the swing! I got the swing that rocks both ways I was SOOOO excited. Jason was most excited about the jogging stroller that we got. His first thought was how soon do you think that we can put Gabe in there :-) So we did some organizing in the nursery. I got a curtain and curtain rod for in there over the weekend so that is up as well. We don't have a crib yet so once we get that and the glider that is when the room is really going to feel real. Right now there is just stuff here and there and really no organization to everything. I think that I am going to have to redo all the clothes that I have already put in his drawers and make sure that I have the ones that we need and want in the drawers. We got a ton more onesies and clothes and really cute stuff. As well as some really cute blankets too. So I am going to wait as long as I can before I organize again since I know that I have two more showers to go.
Sounds like my parents are going to be buying there tickets soon to come down. They will be coming in on Saturday and leaving the following Saturday. Which is longer than we had thought at first. But that is when we are really going to need them the most. Jason is going to be going back to work that first week so having them there with me will make that possible. We have some other things coming up after Gabe is born that he is going to need time for so we don't want to use it all.
The swelling in my feet and hands has gotten pretty bad. Not so much in my hands they are pretty good but my feet are a mess! I am not sure if it is the heat or what is happening. I am off of them for almost the entire day at work and they still get to the point where you can not see my ankles. We went to the pool last night as we heard that is supposed to help take the swelling down. It did some what but not back to normal. So it seems as though that is going to be a fun thing to deal with for the next couple weeks. We had to make a unexpected visit to the nurse as well yesterday. I had gotten really bad leg cramps on Sunday morning and the muscles never let go. In addition to that I was not feeling Gabe move nearly as much as I had. I had really gotten a pattern down of his movements and they had changed and lessoned in the last week. So they asked that we come in and she said that I need to take magnesium to help with the leg cramps, increase my fluids even more!, and then they put me on the fetal movement monitor. They never could get a steady enough heartbeat to track him the way that they needed too. Because he was moving around so much :-) So needless to say the gave up and said we are not sure why you aren't feeling him more but he is definitely active. So that was a huge relief to Jason and I. We were both really scared about what they may tell us when we went in. They have never asked me to come right in whenever I have called with a concern. I didn't realize how scared we both were until we got home last night and Jason said how scared he was that something was wrong. I think as the end is nearing we are both just praying that everything is going to end with a healthy bouncing baby boy!
So that is the latest with us. The girls are coming for the summer this Friday. On Saturday we are going to be rearranging rooms. And I also have a baby shower for a friend at church to go too. Then Sunday is all the church activities. Monday Franny leaves for church camp! I am sooo excited that she is getting the opportunity to go. I know that she is going to have an awesome time. Then Toria starts swim lessons on Monday as well. She has those for two weeks. Jason is starting his 5k group up again for another session on Monday evening. And Ema is going to be going to the Teen Center in town for activities that they have planned as well. I am getting extremely tired just thinking about how crazy things are going to be while they are here :-) At least they will be kept busy with positive things.
I will update again after our appointment on the 23rd!
