Cyrus and Ethan made it to College Station about five Friday night, and the girls followed few hours later.
We definitely had a full weekend, Saturday morning we started out by having pancakes. Then we all did yardwork until Noon. The girls, Ethan and Susan picked weeds in the front yard. Cyrus and I cut and weed eatted grass in the front and back.
After all of that, we had lunch, then took Emilia to Target, the mall, and then finally Barnes and Noble.
Once that was over with, we made it to a Fall Festival at one of the Methodist churches close by. The kids had fun playing games and winning prizes.
Of course, that is not the end of it, we made it home after the festival, we returned home, took a TV to the backyard, watched football, baseball, and ate spaghetti.
THENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, yes its not over yet.
We carved pumpkins. Susan and I shared a pumpkin, the girls had their own, and Ethan and Cyrus shared a pumpkin.
Once the pumpkin carving was over with, we sang Happy Birthday to Emilia over a Cherry Cheese cake. Ethan tried his best to blow out the candles, but I think Ema beat him to it.
We really enjoyed having Cyrus and Ethan over. They were our first overnight visitors to the house, and hopefully not the last. We loved having the company, and cant wait to have other family and friends over.
Of course that wasn't the end of the weekend.
Cyrus and Ethan took off for home Sunday morning, when we left for church.
After church was over, we had to make a quick dash to Sue Haswell Park in Bryan. The company that Susan works for, BVCASA, was holding a festival to kick off Red Ribbon week. The girls and I volunteered our time to help set up. So of course we were able to take advantage of the popcorn, soda, chili cheese nachos, Slovacek Sausage, and chili cheese hotdogs, for our hard efforts.
I was actually made the official photographer, since we were the only ones with a camera. I definitely got my fair share of odd lock from people while taking pictures, and Susan told me today that someone called wanting to make sure that the person taking pictures, was someone who worked for them.
unfortunately, the girls and I had to leave before the festival was over with.
We definitely had one of the busiest weekends since our beautiful wedding.
Pictures of the weekend with Ethan and Cyrus can be viewed here.
Now who remembers Susan smashing wedding cake in my face???
