I know I havnt written much about the Wedding, so here goes nothing.
Well, first about the Rehersal Dinner.
Wow!
Everything just seemed to go so perfect. From the rehersal dinner to the finaly moments of the Wedding. The Rehersal dinner was awesome. Mom with the great help of others, put together a wonderful evening. We had a great catered dinner of fajitas, rice, beans. Then there were the Mariachi's, which was a wonderful touch. It was so nice to have all of our friends and family there to celebrate the coming day.
Then finally the Wedding day, we spent the whole day just putting together the set. But before that could happen, we woke up to a very wet Courtyard. The wind had knocked down tree limbs and lights, and rain had us worried that it might rain even more. But towards the afternoon, the Courtyard began to dry, and we could begin to set up.
To begin the day, Susan and I went off to run few early errands. After we were thru with that, Susan went to have her hair done, and Victoria and I went to have her Wedding Band polished. Once Victoria and I returned, chairs, tables, and all the necessary items were set up. Its amazing how what seems like so little, can take so much time to put together. At some point, I never saw Susan again, I cant even remember what time that happened. All I know is that at about four o'clock I started to put on my tux. Once I had the tux on, I was told to stay in my room because Susan was going to be outside taking pictures. I really missed her alot. Finally the photographer had us outside taking pictures, and we were getting oh so close to show time.
People started showing a few minutes before six o'clock, and I started to grow just a bit nervous, really just worried on whether or not everything looked right.
Then, it was six thirty. The DJ had already been playing pre-Wedding music for thirty minutes. I walked to the front row where Larry Taylor (the minister) and my brothers (groomsmen) were. If I remember right, Larry noticed that the bridesmaids started to walk to the back of the isles, so we took our positions at the front. The bridesmaids and Emery the flower girl began to come down.
Then.
Susan came to the back of the isles, and Here Comes the Bride began to play. She was (is) so beautiful. I had not seen the dress before that evening. I could not get over how awesome she looked in that dress. I would have to say, at that point, I saw nothing but her. I really thought I was going to cry. I didnt dare look at her for an extended period of time when we were giving our vows, or I would have lost it. I had to keep my composure.
It was awesome to see all the flashes of the camera's when Susan and I began walking down the isle. Being the center of attention is so awesome.
The evening went so great. I dont even know how to describe it.
Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. Family and Friends are so awesome to have around at the same time. We ate, drank, laughed, and just had a genuine great time.
Its funny how the evening ended. We were sitting around with family relaxing, and it started to lightning. Our beautiful day ended exactly how it started off, with rain. It was like we were given a perfect window of opportunity to have a perfect day.
