Wet
That just about describes the race today.
Everyone woke up early today, around 5am or so then we got dressed, and headed to Gateway Shopping Center. The line of cars to park, at the start of the race was very long, so I just got out of the car and Susan and the girls made their way to the finish line.
Once I made it to the start, mind you there was about 45 minutes left untill the start of the race, I received my timing chip, then did some warming up.
Susan had made me a T-shirt with Reginas picture on it, and some people had asked me who that was on my shirt, I explained to them everything about the shirt.
Once the race started, everything was going really well.
Then.
Then at mile eight, I had an accident. While visiting the ''water station", I twisted my left foot in a pothole. I ended up sitting down on the curb for a bit. Then finally I deicided I could go on and run.
I finished really well, If I remember right I was 535 out of about 2600 runners. I was happy.
Susan and the girls were waiting for me at the finish line, and I was really happy to see them. Susan had talked to one of the local tv station reporters that were there, and I had a live interview, then walked to the medical tent for some attention to my ankle.
Luckly Susan was able to park the car pretty close to the finish line, so I didnt have to hobble far.
Then there was the trip to the Urgent Care Center.
Back home for some rest, then we took the girls to Columbus.
I should have some pictures up soon.
